A Moment of Significance

Taking aim with wishes
We hurl our hopes and dreams out at the fading tails of falling stars
Quiet aspirations reaching out at the dying breath of the cosmos
Creatures once woven with dust and matter,
We long to toss our fate back into the galactic vacuum
To be sucked into the blackness, back out of our control
Insignificance comes with less consequences,
We are conveniently unsubstantial
But somedays we must lay our hands on the little portion of the universe we control and craft something beautiful
Wrap meaning around one moment in this existence
Before we cease to matter again
